One device passed a live camera mechanics check

On October 2, 2026, an opt-in flow passed on a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G781W, Android 13/API 33). It checked fresh-install permission gating, rear and front camera calibration, photo and video capture, selected controls, lifecycle recovery, cancellation, and private save/delete mechanics. The operator-approved views were benign office floors and ceilings. Test captures stayed on the phone and were deleted after review.

What the result supports

On that handset, the measured camera profiles and managed capture flow worked through the exercised paths. Unsupported or duplicate profiles stayed hidden.

What it does not support

This was one bounded hardware mechanics check. It does not establish classifier accuracy, broad device/API coverage, source parity, physical rotation behavior, or independent validation.

Release readiness

The SDK and bundled model are not released

For the selected replacement model, the repository license review records the published redistribution conditions as satisfied and the required notices are retained with the model artifacts. The historical import is documented separately by hash; its bytes are excluded and its exact source weights and conversion recipe remain unresolved. This is a repository assessment, not an independent legal opinion. An experimental SDK release still needs an approved version and delivery target, verified versioned artifacts, and accurate limitations. Broader device/API testing and independent efficacy assessment remain disclosed follow-up work.

The source repository is publicly available for review. The SDK has no published release or remote Maven artifacts. The replacement model provenance and license review are documented in the repository, with required notices retained in the model library. This public status site offers no SDK, model, or binary downloads and makes no detection-accuracy or safety-certification claim.
